Polish Map Paintings |
| These map paintings, though older pieces, are some of my favorite work. I started doing this series in Krakow, Poland.
Working directly on maps made a lot of sense then, when I was exploring new territory and trying to find my way. I enjoyed the back and forth dialogue with the maps (which was quite different than imposing a statement on a blank sheet). This kind of work almost got me thrown out of grad school.
